B.A. Workshop

The theoretical part of the BA thesis

Reflecting on a design project from an academic perspective is an important part of the design process. The BA thesis requires conceptual, creative, theoretical, and organizational skills. In this BA workshop, students learn what to consider when writing the theoretical part of a thesis and how to present their project clearly and reflectively. In addition to content-related aspects such as literature research, the right questions, and structure, this also includes formal aspects such as outline, individual chapters, and the bibliography.

First, the students presented their projects. We then discussed approaches, methods, and useful structures in the group. In addition to the plenary discussions, there was also sufficient time for individual meetings. The workshop was primarily aimed at students who are writing their B.A. thesis in the current semester. However, if there was sufficient capacity, students who will begin writing in the following semester were also able to participate in preparation.
